With winter hitting striking hard and Millfield House’s main tennants unable to spare any space indoors, we have been working on finding a new location for our fortnightly Friday morning gatherings. For the time being, we will be meeting fortnightly at the Stag & Hounds. See our Social Events page for details.
Topics covered this month include what to do to keep safe from Covid over the winter, how the Forum is working with other organisations to help older people understand the challenges related to climate change, and the suspension of the pension triple lock. Plus, all our regular news of activities and events open to members.
Read about the Forum’s call for a ‘pause and reflect’ on the new Edmonton incinerator and out thoughts on Enfield’s Local Plan. There is also news of social activities, including a disco, a quiz and bingo, as well our Monty Meth Tribute Day on 19 October at Southbury Leisure Centre.
