Friday 23 August — The London Loop from Enfield Lock to Chingford

This is a 5.5 mile moderate walk though very muddy in parts with two steepish hills. So only for those who are reasonably fit and with walking boots. It crosses rough paths, tracks and grass but is surprisingly green and beautiful in large parts, crossing Sewardstone Marsh Nature Reserve and parts of Epping Forest. Walking time is 2.5 hours but we will leave 4 hours and have two breaks on the way. Please bring a packed lunch and water. We will finish at the café close to Chingford Railway Station, from where you can get a train or bus back to Enfield Town. This walk is weather dependent and will be postponed if there is too much rain or a heatwave. Between 12noon and 4.30pm. To book a place please contact Jan on eternalechoes2002@yahoo.ie or 07748 264735
